| A Pierce Dash® pumper with seating for six personnel was delivered to Steamboat Springs, CO, by Jay Hosburgh of Front Range Fire Apparatus. The pumper enables the personnel to respond to motor vehicle accidents and EMS calls and still has the ability to respond to a structural fire without switching apparatus.
This unit features a 470 HP Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine, an Allison 5-speed automatic transmission, a 1,500 GPM Hale single stage pump with overheat protection, 750-gallon water tank and 30-gallon Class A & B foam tanks.
Additional features include: 10 kilowatt generator, light mast, retarder, roll-up doors, front intake, heated and remote mirrors, internal ladder storage, automatic tire chains, full depth compartments and a full complement of extrication equipment.
